 You just bought your new home. Turns out the previous owners did no maintenance and the pipes are corroded and leaking. Get your pipe tap set to clear out the threading and put in new pipes.

Whether you are doing HVAC a mechanic plumber or many others. You routinely encounter situations needing new pipe threads or fixing dodgy ones. Get a set of the most common sizes to speed up any job.

You can manually turn your pipe tap or use a pipe tap tool to make your life a bit easier. Just line it up with the hole and carefully tap a new thread. Use oil to lubricate when doing so.

All tools can be dangerous. Make sure you use lots of oil when threading holes. You will wear the tap bits out faster without it. Keep your taper pipe tap in optimum condition.

You can work on steel aluminium plastic copper  and many other types of materials. Just be careful and follow all good instructions. You may not need to use it often but when you do it is a lifesaver.
